Hotels, Hostels and B&B

Buenos Aires offers a broad selection of Hotels, Hostels and B&Bs. Find an area that is central so that you can get around with ease. We recommend Palermo or for a quiet neighborhood, try Belgrano.
Astoria Hotel

Hostels are a great way to save money and meet other travelers.  There are many safe and centrally located hostels in the downtown area.

There are fewer B&Bs in Buenos Aires than you might expect, but many are a diamond in the ruff.  Often better than a hotel (and comparable in price), they offer a chance to meet real Argentines, sample some of the home cooked meals and relax.

Astoria Hotel

The Hotel Astoria was built in 1895 and offers a comfortable place to stay in the downtown area.  Within walking distance is the Plaza de Mayo (Casa Rosada), Avenida 9 de Julio (Widest Street in the Americas), Calle Florida (Shopping) and much more.

Address: Av. de Mayo 916 - Buenos Aires - Argentina
Phone: (5411) 4334-9061

Apartments

If you are staying for an extended period, it is a good idea to rent a furnished apartment.  There are several companies that broker apartments and all require payment in cash upon arrival.

We use http://www.bytargentina.com/ and have been happy with the results.  Be sure to look closely at the photos and know what neighborhood you are moving into.
